Man sets self ablaze over wife’s alleged infidelity By Perez Brisibe OVWIAN – A man in his early forties (name withheld), weekend, set himself ablaze inside his apartment a along Owharen Street in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State over his wife’s alleged infidelity. The apartment Neighbours at the Owharen street residence of the victim, told Vanguard that he had vowed to kill himself when his wife was caught pants down having sex with a young man staying in the neighbourhood. The inferno which led to the destruction of properties worth millions of naira also engulfed other apartments in the building. Speaking to Vanguard, one of the neighbours who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “Some few weeks ago, his wife, Blessing was caught pant down by their neighbors with a young boy who washes the Keke of the man. “Though the wife has since left his apartment, the man returned home that day, poured fuel on his body, barricaded himself inside his apartment with an iron bar and set himself ablaze. “We were attracted to the scene of the incident following smoke emanating from the apartment, but could not open the door as a result of the iron bar he used to barricade the door behind.
