A woman Rachel Anne Hayes, aged 27 was arrested in the morning of on Thursday, December 18, 2014 for allegedly slapping her 72-year old grandmother multiple times over refusal to accept her Friend’s request on Facebook social medium in Clearwater, Florida.
Hayes is facing multiple charges without an option for bail in the Pinellas County Jail which included assault and felony charge of domestic battery on an elderly person.
According to Huffington post, the prison officials said the alleged assault took place around 3:39 a.m. in the the suspect’s grandmother’s home following a heated argument about the status of Hayes’ friend request.
Police officials said the suspect was perhaps intoxicated when she committed the dastardly act and it was not the first time she has gotten in trouble while intoxicated.
In addition, records from the prison show she has been previously arrested for DUI, violation of probation for DUI and disorderly conduct for urinating in public.
