Group commends Dickson on appointment of non-indigenes as SAs By Emem Idio YENAGOA—NON-INDIGENES in Bayelsa State under the aegis of Supreme Council for Non Indigenes, SCN, have commended Governor Seriake Dickson for the recognition and appointment of four non- indigene residents in the state as his special advisers and senior special assistants. Gov Dickson President General of Supreme Council of Non Indigenes, Mr. Ade Bakare, who stated this at an enlarged stakeholders meeting of the group in Yenagoa, expressed gratitude to the governor for running an all inclusive government by carrying along non indigenes in the scheme of things in the state. He urged non indigenes in the state to exercise their civic obligation by going out to register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise to enable them participate in future elections in the state. Speaking on behalf of all the appointed non- indigenes, special advisers and senior special assistants, the Special Assistant to the Governor on South-South Matters, Mr Douglas Koko, described the gesture of the governor as unprecedented and called on non indigenes in the state to support the current administration in the state. He described non indigenes as stakeholders in the political affairs of the state, adding that non indigenes will always continue to contribute their quota towards the socio-economic development of the state.
