Buhari’ll send hyenas, jackals out of govt — Aisha By Emmanuel Aziken, Political Editor First Lady Aisha Buhari, yesterday, raised a social media storm after she affirmed that hyenas and jackals taking advantage of her husband’s illness would sooner than later be sent out of the kingdom. Mrs. Buhari’s assertion on her Facebook page was in response to a solidarity message from Senator Shehu Sani, who had in a message posted on her Facebook page on July 6 alleged that in the president’s absence that sycophantic prayers for the lion’s recovery had waned. The posting on Facebook was confirmed as her posting by her close aides yesterday night. Mrs. Buhari’s depiction apparently a dig at the cabal and those she had claimed in the past were derailing President Buhari’s administration was laced in metaphor just as the original posting by Senator Sani. Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, addressing State House Correspondents shortly after her arrival in Abuja on Tuesday (6/6/17) from United Kingdom where she went to visit her husband, who is on medical leave in the British capital. She conveyed the appreciation of President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians over their constant prayers and said he would soon return to the country. Senator Sani had in his posting observed that the jackals and hyenas were in the absence of the lion who is sleeping tramping on the weaker animals in the belief that the lion would not come back. He said that it was the prayer of the weaker animals that the lion should come back soon. Mrs. Buhari who is in Britain to visit with her husband responded metaphorically to the posting saying: “God has answered the prayers of the weaker animals. The hyenas and the jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom. We strongly believe in the prayers and support of the weaker animals.” Her comment had after seven hours attracted more than 1,000 likes and more than 200 comments. Senator Sani had in his posting said: “Prayer for the absent Lion King has waned; Until he’s back, then they will fall over each other to be on the front row of the palace temple. “Now the hyenas and the jackals are scheming and talking to each other in whispers; still doubting whether the Lion King will be back or not. Now the Lion king is asleep and no other dare to confirm if he will wake up or not. It’s the wish of the Hyenas that the Lion King never wakes or come back so that they can be kings. “It’s the Prayers of the weaker animals that the Lion King comes back to save the Kingdom from the Hyenas, the wolves, and other predators.” “Aisha Buhari, the wife of the President, has given an insight into the power play at the Nigerian seat of power in the wake of a sickness that has kept her husband out of the country for over two months.
